This week one of our Sisters was talking with the mother of a child in the religious education program. She was a bit frazzled; she had gone back to work after a number of years and told Sister she didn't know how she was going to get the Thanksgiving dinner together. She had to bake and cook and roast the turkey and, and, and...
Sister stopped her and said "do the turkey the way I do it!" Then she told the woman to roast the turkey overnight in a low oven and presto, in the morning the turkey is done - and juicy and delicious! The woman left saying thank you, thank you, thank you!
There are many ways to bring hope to the people we serve - even through a turkey!
