A brief glimpse of our retreat

The Sisters are still meditating on the wonderful graces we received during our annual retreat here at our motherhouse. At the beginning of the retreat our retreat master assured us that we would meet Jesus in a new way and we did. We were reminded that each one of us is called by Jesus to Himself - and not to our work! Jesus teaches those He calls so we were encouraged to have a listening heart during our retreat time. Retreat is a time to ponder the important questions in our life: Why am I here? What is the meaning of my life? What are my deepest desires. My deepest desire is what God desires. Do I love Jesus with my whole heart? What is it that I am holding back? We were encouraged to look into the eyes of Jesus and allow Him to look into our eyes. The hope that never disappoints is Jesus Christ!

The Sisters listen and take notes during the talks. The defining moment in our lives is when we come to know that God loves us!

God blessed us with a beautiful week so we were able to spend time outdoors. Something to think about: We are all affected by the culture in which we live. Either we will change the culture or it will change us. The only answer is Jesus. The answer is holiness! It is holiness that changes history!

We had Eucharistic Adoration and Benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament each day following Mass in our motherhouse chapel. Another thought: There are two basic certainties in life: to be infinitely loved and to be capable of loving without limit!

As women Consecrated and set apart for the Lord we need a solid block of time to be with our Spouse. Retreat time is not an option for us. It is a time to be refreshed and renewed!
