Food for the journey

In today’s Gospel Jesus healed the multitudes as they flocked to Him on the mountain top. At the end of the day He was so concerned about their physical hunger that He multiplied the loaves and fishes and fed the thousands who had come to hear Him and to be touched by Him.  They obviously had not given any thought to how they would eat but Jesus knew what they needed.  And He met their needs. http://www.usccb.org/bible/readings/120512.cfm

Jesus continues to feed the multitudes – each and every day – with His very own Body and Blood in the Eucharist.  He knows we are in need of healing.  He knows we are spiritually hungry.  He knows we will have a hard time making it “home” without spiritual food.
Are you feeling spiritually needy and spiritually hungry these days?  Perhaps you can find your way to the mountain – to the altar of the Lord – to be healed and to be fed.
