God's gift to His people

This has been a Lent like no other.  The surprises keep coming!    And this past week has been, for us, a week of celebration.  Of course, the reason is our new Holy Father, Pope Francis I.   In a world overshadowed by the darkness of cynicism and the rejection of Faith, we have been given a man whose smile and manner, his simplicity and humility, his love of poverty - his love of God -  have left us somewhat speechless! 

I am happy for our dearly beloved Pope Benedict because God has given us someone to take on the responsibilities that he so courageously carried for eight years.  May these days in his life be filled with consolation and peace. 

I am certain that there are move surprises to come!
