What we believe!

In yesterday's blog I suggested you get a copy of the Promises Made at Baptism so that you can renew those promises on the anniversary of your Baptism. Well I thought the most loving thing to do would be to print them for you! I hope you will use them for years and years!

Through The Paschal mystery you have been buried with Christ in Baptism, so that you may rise with Him to new life. You are invited now to renew the promises you made in Baptism when you rejected Satan and his works and promised to serve God faithfully in His holy Catholic Church.

Q. Do you reject sin, so as to live in the freedom of God’s children?
A. I do.

Q. Do you reject the glamour of evil and refuse to be mastered by sin?
A. I do.

A. Do you reject Satan father of sin, and prince of darkness?
A. I do.

Q. Do you believe in Jesus Christ, His only son, our Lord, who was born of the Virgin Mary, was crucified, died, and was buried, rose from the dead, and is now seated at the right hand of the Father?
A. I do

Q. Do you believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting?
A. I do.

God, the all-powerful Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, has given you a new birth by water and the Holy Spirit, and forgiven all your sins. May He also keep you faithful to our Lord Jesus Christ for ever and ever. Amen.

What a wonderful idea - to regularly revisit our baptismal vows. Thanks for posting these.
