A Pinch-hitter

From Sister Loretta ~

While Sr. Judith is mending she asked if any sister wanted to put news on the blog. I jumped at the opportunity especially since today, September 15th, the Church celebrates a feast that is very close to my heart, the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows. Fifteen years ago, on this beautiful feast of Mary, I entered the Sisters of Jesus Our Hope as a postulant; the first stage of formation for our community. Over the years of formation I have come to realize living the virtuous life is a key element for living each day in joyful hope!

St. Catherine of Siena reminds us that this life of virtue is tested as we correspond to God’s loving will for us as he unfolds his plan each day! Sr. Judith has been a great model for us of one who lives the virtue of patience in the midst of receiving God’s loving will for her during this time of mending after “falling head over heels” on Sept. 10th! We sisters have been inspired by her gentle witness of patience as we serve her daily needs. St. Catherine also reminds us that it is in our love of God we conceive virtues, and in our love of neighbor that they are brought to birth. Press on Sr. Judith in living the virtuous life radically. Your sisters are grateful for your witness!
