It's time to pray

Today is the 35th anniversary in the United States of the Supreme Court's decision to legalize abortion during all nine months of pregnancy. It is estimated that the lives of 3,000 babies are ended each day in this country through abortion.

Let us pray that God's mercy will be upon this country and upon each one of us. The United States' Bishops have asked us to offer up our penances today and beg God's intervention to put an end to every practice that harms or destroys human life. Let us pray for every person whose heart is hardened against the truth that all human life is sacred. And let us reach out to those women who are struggling to choose life. So much to do! So dependent are we on God's grace!!
