A Heart full of mercy and forgiveness

"Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.

Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart,

and you will find rest for yourselves. For my yoke is easy and my burden light."

(Matt 11:25-30)

Today is the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and it is one of the primary feast days of our community. Jesus was fully human and fully Divine. He had a human heart which was pierced on the cross and out of that heart flowed blood and water. It was the sign that He had given everything for our salvation; His body was totally empty of life. There was nothing left to give. His pierced heart is the assurance that His merciful love is is there for us in abundance beyond measure! His merciful love is the reason we have hope!

This is important to remember...To remember the impotance of the Sacred Heart and to keep his Sacred heart close to ours will help us to love him more. I think it is important to remeber His sacred heart and how it has effected us..
