Our forgotten prayer

Do you like "heaven" jokes? One of our Sisters shared this story today and it has a message that is no joking matter.

A man died and went to Heaven. When St. Peter met him at the gate he told him to come and he began to show him around. As they walked down the hall they came to a room that was filled with angels busily working. When the man asked St. Peter what was happening in the room, St. Peter said it was the room where they received all the prayers of petition from the people on earth.

They continued to walk the hall and they came to a second room. It too was filled with angels busily working. When the man asked St. Peter what was happening in this room, St. Peter said the angels were processing all the prayers of petition.

They walked further and came to a third room. Inside this smaller room there was just one angel and he didn't look very busy. When the man asked St. Peter what this room was for, St. Peter said the angel was processing all the "thank you" messages that were sent up from earth.

Did you send up your thank-you message to God today? I know I was convicted when I heard this story and I got right to it. That solitary angel is waiting.
