A beautiful name for a beautiful Lady

Jesus called her mother.  When the angel Gabriel appeared to her and asked her to become the mother of God, he called her by her name: "Mary".  Today we celebrate her by that name - today is the feast of "The Most Holy Name of Mary".

Here is a link to some reflections on the feast: http://www.americancatholic.org/features/saints/saint.aspx?id=1930
Be sure to click on the audio as well as reading the brief commentary.

It is a lovely feast - a call to think of her and to honor her.  "Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you.  Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.  Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now, and at the hour of our death. Amen
